There are many creative ways to increase traffic to your handmade jewelry website.  In this article you will find many ways to boost the number of visitors to your Handmade jewelry website. Some will cost you money, and some are free. Marketing yourself and your handcrafted jewelry business online can be rewarding and profitable. How you set your handmade jewelry website apart will make it stand out from all the other handmade artisan jewelry websites on the internet.

Keywords are how search engines find the appropriate web pages to give to a searcher in their results. Matching up the exact phrases that someone types in a Google search box to the webpage that those same words are on is how a search engine works. If your keywords are too general or there are millions of competing websites with the exact same words, how will you stand out in the crowd?

Advertise your site at free classified ad sites online. There are many of these on the internet. Some of the more popular ones are craigslist, inetgiant, free advertising forum, and gumtree. You can setup a jewelry blog for your website and also write articles on the topic related to jewelry. Include a links to your jewelry website.  Submit your articles to article directories, and allow people to publish your article in their newsletters and websites. Your articles will spread around the web like wildfire. People will read them and visit your website. Submit it to all the free article directories on the internet.

Marketing handmade jewelry online has its challenges as there is a lot of competition in the world of handcrafted jewelry. Sometimes it seems that everyone and her sister is selling jewelry on sites such as eBay or Etsy. Unfortunately, tons of competition makes it harder for your jewelry site to be found, especially when you have to compete against thousands of imports and low cost jewelry. Selling handcrafted jewelry successfully on the internet and getting lots traffic to jewelry gift website does work for some people, but there are lots more who give up in frustration when they fail to make enough profit to make it worth their time. Promoting handmade jewelry website is very time consuming as you have to work all the time to increase traffic. If you can not devote enough time to do so nobody will be able to see your handmade earrings, bracelet and necklaces.

Another way is, if you got things for sale, leave a card or so stamped on the package with your websites name on. Not free, but can be done very cheap, and if people forget the card somewhere or anything, other people may just see it.

For example StoreBeez.com is a virtual mall focused on helping small businesses and artisans take their offline business online by providing them with a free online store and free advertising. Additionally you pay a fee to StoreBeez.com only if you sell, so there is no charging if you don't sell anything - nothing to loose!

From my point of view, the more you promote your products, using any available strategy, the more chances you have to sell.

I like all the answers. Yes, if you like to promote your handmade jewelry's business you should work in every level. As you post more then you'll sell more. Any way, I think that the virtual malls can promote handmade jewelry's business.

What you are referring to is SEO (search engine optimization). Google this and you will learn so much. There are different things that will work for different people. The more you learn and the more trial and error you try you will find exactly what is going to work for you. He is right these things are time consuming but they are well worth the time and if you can afford it, money. Google analytics is free and will give you an idea of who is coming from where to your website. Take advantage of the free things out there to help you grow via the web. Good luck to you all! The most important thing is to make sure the links look natural. Anything unnatural can get you penalized by Google - so take care not to overdo anything.

SEO isn't the only thing you need to learn about or have money for. If your site does not look up to date, current, attractive people will leave. I'm not saying all but the majority. Your photography can make or break a click let alone an actual buy. Also take advantage of social media, it's a very small piece of your success pie but it is still an important one AND they are free! I think the majority of people succeed because the passion drives them there. Use the resources that that are out there, network with people, and sign up for social sites. Good Luck!

Sorry for the delay! There are SO many sites but Facebook is a must, Twitter is great too. I just started with Pinterest and the following we have is growing everyday. The hard part is keeping up with all of these sites and there are so many more out there. Consistency is a MUST when you start building social profiles. No website will succeed on social media alone and there are rules you want to follow and you don't always want to be screaming buy buy buy to your followers. Even though I am working under a company I make sure to be myself and true, that shows in your posts and people appreciate that. I also pay attention to what things are trending in social media. I may build a profile and only use that particular site for a short time because it just doesn't work for me or this company. Blogging is a great way to network as well. However, time consuming too and if you are not loving what your writing about it totally shows in your articles.
