Avoid chlorine, including that in swimming pools and hot tubs. To clean, you can use a solution of ammonia and water (half and half) and use a soft tooth brush that's never had toothpaste on it. Be sure to rinse. You can also take it to a jeweler and have them put the jewelry in an ultrasonic cleane
